And the floods are finally receding from our recently acquired “Lakefront Properties.”
But we here at the Thrift Shops for Nova West Island are looking forward to another flood!
Indeed, we’re hoping for a flood of applications in response to our great need for volunteers.
And this is such a wonderful place to volunteer that I know you won’t regret jumping into the waters. 🙂
I look forward to meeting you!
Good morning, dear readers. Tweet, tweet.
Yes, spring and Easter are right around the corner.
(Honestly, they are! Well, at least Easter is.) 🙂
As happens regularly here in Ste. Anne de Bellevue, once again we find ourselves a bit short staffed–we need your help. Do you know someone, or are you yourself, willing and able to offer a few hours a week to a great cause?
Specifically, we need people who can work with the public at the sales desk or in sorting and pricing goods for the shelves. Please follow the tweets below to see the details, and then consider applying for your next rewarding activity.
I do believe this speaks for itself, folks! 🙂
And, our usual advice still applies: Be there early for some hurly burly!
And, as usual, we really appreciate it when you are polite to each other and to us. 🙂
And, as usual, all proceeds go to NOVA WEST ISLAND.
We here at the boutiques hope that, in this wonderful year of the rooster, you are crowing with happiness every day! We know that this is especially true when you visit (or even think of) the Thrift Shops for Nova West Island. Right? In fact, I’m sure you’ll agree that we always offer you good-feeling shopping experiences.
Unfortunately, there are two upcoming Sundays when you will not be able to visit us for an extra fix of happiness. On Easter Sunday, April 16th and on Mother’s Day, May 14th we, like you, will be busy celebrating with our loved ones. So all our doors will be closed.
We feel it’s only fair to let you know so you can plan to do your celebration shopping on Saturday, April 15th and Saturday, May 13th. 🙂
Not everyone is attracted to vintage.
Here is another treasure – this one for someone interested in Buddhism. It was put out on the shelves just yesterday. Maybe looking for you? Check it out in our Ste. Anne de Bellevue bookstore.
And for some strange reason, we love old books the best.
If you haven’t checked out the Collector’s Corner in the Ste. Anne de Bellevue Thrift Shop for awhile, you might want to have a peak. There are some treasures there that are worthwhile drooling over.
What a Delightful Corner!

This One Caught My Eye
It Is So Captivating
Look At This Sketch!
I’ve just received word of an upcoming sale in our Ste. Anne de Bellevue boutique — a special just for Valentine’s-week! And just for you! It begins on February 7th and continues for a full week.
Selected winter coats and jackets will have special luvvy-duvy tags to indicate that they are 1/2 price!
Now isn’t that great news?
Plus! Although I don’t have the details yet, the scoop from Cupid is that Kirkland is also having their own half price sale on selected coats. So, keep your eyes open. You don’t want to miss out on these bargains. Winter is far from over!
Unfortunately, the Beaconsfield store has no coats for you. 🙂 But, as you know, they always have excellent bargains on their furniture, so don’t forget about them.
Spread the love!
