Yes, they are both here again! Straight ahead and right around the corner!
Below are three newspaper ads showing all the details you’ll need.
Also listen to CJAD morning radio for reminders of this weekend’s excitement.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our fabulous locations this Saturday and Sunday.
The next time you visit our Ste. Anne Boutique, please be sure to check out this lovely sampler in our Art Gallery section. It comes from Bristol, England, and dates back to 1818 — that’s 200 years ago! It has recently been fitted with a frame and protective glass, so perhaps it will be just as beautiful 200 years from now.
And while you’re in our Ste. Anne store, don’t forget to admire the creation of one of our very talented volunteers. He put his talents to the task this morning, and prepared this “fresh” display of spring flowers. It should serve to help us welcome Easter … and hopefully, a good sampling of spring weather. Thank you, Mike.
Since we’re recognizing volunteers, it’s important to thank those of you who have very generously and kindly helped with a collection of toiletries. With your donated items, we have managed to put together 17 cosmetics bags, which we’ve passed on to the West Island Women’s Centre in Pierrefonds. The WIWC, in turn, hands them out to the women when they leave the centre. What an unexpected little pick-me-up! Because this has been such a successful project, we will continue the practice for another month. Thank you to all involved who have helped to make this possible.
We’re still in snowbird season!
This, of course, means that many of our dedicated volunteers are in the process of re-charging their Superpower batteries somewhere far away. At least far away from this unusual winter we’re having here in the West Island.
So, … this is a gentle reminder that we’re always on the lookout for those who would like to up-grade their own Superpower status and help us out by joining our ranks of volunteers.
Write to us here to connect to the Superpower volunteers patiently waiting to hear from you.
We are undertaking some reorganization here on the blog, so we ask that you please bear with us. Thank you for you patience.
Yes, I mentioned it on Facebook, but forgot to tell you about it here on the blog. (I don’t know where the last two and a half months went, but they have definitely flown by!)
In any case, if you have been wondering, yes, our newest store opened on October 31st. And, as everyone says, “It is beautiful!” If you haven’t yet visited, well, I think it is about time. And then you, too, will know what everyone is talking about.

And if you are interested, we always need willing, able and dedicated volunteers — at all of our Thrift Shops for Nova. This is especially true now — flu season is on the rise, and snow birds are on the wing, leaving us with many vacancies to fill.
Please call us at any of our Thrift Shops for Nova and leave us your name and contact information.
