Generosity Has Many Branches!

Today we have three great stories of generosity that we feel are worth sharing with you.

It began a few weeks ago with the news that a benefactor, Dave Eke, was kindly donating his huge collection of books and CD’s to Thrift Shops for Nova West Island.

With this abundance of available treasures waiting for us, and the deadline for removal rapidly approaching, we had to quickly explore options for packing, and moving, and storing, and sorting, and displaying for our valued customers!

Step in the beautiful little town of Terrasse Vaudreuil, just across the bridge from Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. Thanks to their wonderful generosity, we have a fabulous temporary location for the boxes, and boxes, and boxes of books we have been given. We are so very grateful for this offer of space!

Finally, we needed vehicles, and boxes,  and kind, willing and able bodies with strong arms, legs, and backs. Step in Claire and son, Sally and Nick, Anne and Robert, Ben, Susan, Al and Shelley, Ian, Heather and Audrey! Wow! What a team! And thanks to all the hard work, we have definitely made a dent in the stacks in the home, and added a bump to the new location in Terrasse Vaudreuil. Thank you Dave Eke for this gift and this adventure!

Many of you have already benefitted from our fabulous prices for these items, right? Well, I’m here to remind you that there are more to come. I’ve seen these books and they are beautiful and varied and plentiful. And soon they will be on our bookshelves.

So visit us often. You never know what you will find next!
