Yup! A Buck a Book!

i-nGNT3qS-M-2-2-2

In April of this year, The Thrift Shops for Nova West Island was treated to a super generous  donation of books. Perhaps you remember? Read more about it here.

Throughout the summer, the staff at the bookstore in Sainte Anne de Bellevue has been busy sorting, and boxing, and trucking–more like Fit-ing–books from our temporary storage rooms in the church of Terrasse Vaudreuil to the shelves in our bookstore. And, indeed, we have worked very hard and moved a lot of books. But there are still many more  to be moved–or sold on the spot.  🙂

To kill two birds with one stone, we are taking advantage of  the “Fete de Popote” in Terrasse Vaudreuil this Saturday. We will have a table set up to display and offer you any and all books at a dollar each. And, as you know, all proceeds go towards health care in our community. Yes, this has been a rather last minute arrangement, but with the speed of the internet, we know we will reach you in time.

So is it a date? Check out the Facebook page for the event here and join us tomorrow, Saturday, September 3, between 10 and 4:30. Bring your cup and have a free cup of coffee.

The weather is supposed to be glorious! In fact, it will be perfect for having a bite to eat, being entertained by live music, tasting delicious food, enjoying the enchanting community of Terrasse Vaudreuil, and buying a few books.
